Rise of the Robots was a fighting game released by Time Warner in November 1994. Even though it was almost universally panned because of its gameplay, the game was the first to use motion capture years before it became common practice. Virtua Fighter 2 released in the arcades at roughly the same time and brought mo-cap to the arcades, but wouldn’t be ported to home consoles until almost a year later.
